Seeing Unequal Spaces
Given the history and city planning of our past, it is possible to live in Cape town and not regularly be exposed to the stark difference of housing quality.
Jonny Miller set out to display how unequal communities can be, as objectively as possible. By using drone photography, you can quickly see how two groups of people, separated by a wall or road, can have such vastly different lived experiences.
As you look at his slideshow, reflect on the following questions:
- What is going on in your heart and mind as you look at these photos?
- Why is that?
- What is God’s heart for people on either side of that dividing line?
- What do you desire for people on both sides of those dividing lines?
- What do you think people on both sides of those dividing lines want for the future?

We trust that these photos and your reflection will inform, soften and motivate you to be part of finding solutions and, together, building a future in which all people living in South Africa can flourish together.
