What it’s like to live in Cape TownChristine Van Wyk
How would you finish this sentence:
“If I could show people of other ethnicities what it is like for people like me to live in Cape Town, I would show them…”?
We collected a range of anonymous responses from fellow residents of our city. They have not been edited for grammar or brevity. All biographical data collected was optional.
These are windows into lives. Lives of those you worship with. Lives of those you work with. Lives of those who bear the image of God as much as you do. Lives of those who dwell in the same city as you do. Lives of those with whom you will share a future with.
Every person (across ethnic and class lines) wants to be seen, to be acknowledged, to be engaged as a unique individual, with a unique story. Let these windows spark you further onto a journey to truly see others.
