The Zanokhanyo Network
The Zanokhanyo Network is Common Good’s employment initiative. We offer transformative work readiness training that empowers the unemployed with the confidence, skills and resources they need to obtain meaningful work.
Since 2008 we’ve helped thousands take confident strides into a brighter, more economically active future.
Unemployment is the greatest challenge facing our country at this moment in its history. Unemployment diminishes our ability to eradicate poverty, tackle inequality and improve the lives of the working class and poor. It has a devastating effect on families and communities, eroding people’s dignity and contributing to social problems like poor health, poor education outcomes, substance abuse and crime.
Watch a short introductory video to the Work Readiness Journey and hear from two of our graduates who have gone on to find meaningful employment.

This has been such an inspirational journey for me. The best part is that I can take what I have learned and use it to motivate others, so that their lives can change too.
I was blind but now I see that there is hope. Something positive is coming. I must take the first step, the second one belongs to God.
The Work Readiness Journey taught me about forgiveness and self-respect. Now I am a happy and free person, and I can take one step at a time towards realising my dreams.
