Unemployment is one of South Africa’s deepest crises. Young people are eager to work, but face barrier after barrier – from work-readiness gaps and lack of networks to knocked confidence and everyday hurdles like transport or data.

Job Journey is a 9-day course that equips them with the skills, confidence, and tools to secure meaningful work. Through replication partners – churches, NGOs, schools, and community hubs – the programme is reaching further than ever.

Since the launch of Job Journey in August 2023, 46 partners across 5 provinces have run 107 courses, equipping 1 836 graduates with the skills, confidence, and dignity to pursue meaningful employment.

R250 | Equip a partner with course materials
Provides the core training materials used during replication partner onboarding. These resources help new partners learn how to run Job Journey effectively in their own communities.

R500 | Provide 1 hour of coaching/support for a partner
Ongoing coaching strengthens delivery quality and equips partners to track monitoring and evaluation effectively – ensuring accurate data, upskilled facilitators, and graduates who leave more confident, professional, and employable.

R1 000 | Funds an unemployed participant in a 9-day exemplar course at Common Good
Covers the full cost for one job seeker to attend a Job Journey exemplar course at Common Good. These exemplar courses transform lives while also allowing us to keep the curriculum fresh, relevant, and tested.

R2 500 | Onboards 1 new facilitator
Covers the full cost of onboarding one replication partner – including the 2-day training, creating their replication partner profile on our website, and giving them access to the digital tools needed to deliver Job Journey successfully in their community.

R20 000 | Fully trains and supports a facilitator for one year
Funds the entire journey of a replication partner: onboarding, 2-day training, set-up with replication partner tools, and a full year of ongoing coaching and support. Each partner typically runs multiple Job Journey courses annually, helping 40+ job seekers graduate with skills, confidence, and hope.
